It's the third time that Sainsbury’s supermarket have run their brilliant LEGO cards promotion. They've got 140 new fun character cards to collect and an album full of global food facts for kids. So to raise awareness and excitement for the Sainsbury’s LEGO ‘Living Amazingly’ Collectables campaign we developed LEGO’s first ever SparkAR camera effect for Facebook and Instagram.
Now LEGO fans can now create themselves, or any bizarre character they can imagine, to digitally join the Sainsbury’s LEGO card collection.
The best part was that unlike most one-trick face filters, this effect offered a deep level of customisable options. You can change hair style and colour, hats, skin tone, make-up, glasses, facial hair or just add butterflies or kitty whiskers to your face. Users could spend hours creating and sharing from almost 1.5million possible combinations.
